Hosted “John Felsher Outdoors,” a 1-hour outdoors news/talk radio
show on KLCL 1470-AM and KJEF 1290-AM in Louisiana from 1998-2000
and again from 2002-04.
Hosted “Outdoors with John Felsher” on KPLC, NBC-Affiliate TV station
in Lake Charles in 2003.
Managed the
Air Scoop, named best all around newspaper in Military
Airlift Command in 1991 and best special edition for Desert Storm,
beating 25 other military publications.  It also took five other Air Force-
level awards.
Served five years as a board member for the Southeastern Outdoor
Press Association and one year on the Florida Outdoor Writers
Association board of directors.
Served as the on-site conference chairman for SEOPA and as a
community committee member when the SEOPA conference was held in
Lake Charles in 2000.

Named 2004 Louisiana Wildlife Federation Conservation Communicator
of the Year
Named 2002 Ducks Unlimited Southern Conservation Writer of the Year.
Won numerous writing and photography awards from various writing
organizations since 1984.
1989 Air Force Systems Command public affairs officer of the year.
